Additional Dates Added to Downtown Reno’s Celebration of Chinese New Year

Lion Dances, Live Music and Lobster Jan. 28 – Feb. 19

 

Thanks to popular demand, the Year of the Rooster will come to life at the Eldorado Resort Casino, Silver Legacy Resort Casino and Circus Circus Reno in an even more extravagant way. The celebration has been extended to begin with the lighting of the Circus Circus Reno hotel towers in a lucky red color starting Jan. 28 through Feb. 19. And for three weekends in February, the resort casinos will transform into a colorful celebration of the Chinese New Year with elaborate décor, live entertainment including a Lion Dance, and Asian cuisine specials throughout the property.

The Buffet at the Eldorado will feature dozens of ever-changing appetizers and entrees, Feb. 16-19 including a Chinese crispy roast pig every night, General’s Chicken, wok-braised crab, teriyaki chicken wings, Peking duck, egg drop soup, sushi, chilled crab legs, Eldorado fried rice, BBQ pork with honey and sesame seeds and so much more. Dinner will be served nightly. Adults are $29.99 and children ages four to ten, $14.99. ONE Club Silver and above members are $26.66.

True to its name, Flavors! the Buffet at the Silver Legacy will offer a variety of Asian tastes Feb. 3-4, 10-11 and 17-19. Enjoy classics like Kung Pao chicken, egg rolls and steamed pork buns, or enjoy new creations from our chefs like braised Asian pork belly with Brussels sprouts and pearl onions, Togarashi salmon with ponzu sauce, firecracker shrimp with fresh mint rice noodles and coconut black pepper glazed potatoes. All of these great additions accompany a carving station lavished with slow-roasted soy flavored prime rib and five-spiced roasted top round. Beginning Feb. 18, the internationally acclaimed Leung’s White Crane Dance Association will perform a traditional Lion Dance that has become customary during Chinese cultural festivals. The extravagant dance will take place throughout the three casinos accompanied by music on the following dates and times:
